Lead Application Engineer - MSC Software - Santa Ana, CA


Lead Application Engineer - MSC Software - Santa Ana, CA - Provide Technical Support for MSC products (which may include MSC.Nastran, MSC.Patran, MSC.Adams, MSC.Marc, MSC.Dytran, EASY-5, MSC.NASTRAN for Windows, and/or SimDesigner) primarily focused in sales support activities to help achieve the revenue objectives for the region. 

Responsibilities:
Provide support of regional sales teams efforts to insure achievement and growth of MSC revenue goals Work independently with area customers to support the use of MSC products in order to maintain a high degree of customer satisfaction Teach public classes, customized classes, give seminars on new products releases. Help develop customized classes and seminars. Assist Sales in developing, and managing implementation plans for new MSC customers Coordinate and execute benchmarks as required Assist Sales in understanding the technical requirements and technical decision criteria of prospective clients Work with Sales and technical management to develop territory support plans and manage the technical activities of key accounts Deliver application consulting to strategic clients which includes the use of MSC products applied to specific moderately complex customer analysis problems Have the technical ability, communication skills and confidence to deliver quickstarts/mentoring Provide technical support for MSC family of products which may include MSC.Nastran, MSC.Patran, MSC.Adams, MSC.Marc, MSC.Dytran, EASY-5, and/or MSC.Nastran for Windows. 

Qualifications:
  • EDUCATION Minimum of a Bach elors degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil, Structural Engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience. 

WORK EXPERIENCE 
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in MSC.Nastran, MSC.Patran, MSC.Adams, MSC.Marc, MSC.Dytran, EASY-5, and/or MSC.Nastran for Windows, and support of CAE related products specializing in the area of application is required. Acknowledged leader in the technical field(s) and experience in Technical Sales support are requirements. 


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES 
  • Advanced knowledge of MSC products which may include MSC.Nastran, MSC.Patran, MSC.Adams, MSC.Marc, MSC.Dytran, EASY-5, MSC.Nastran for Windows is required. Moderate knowledge of Windows and Unix systems. Good verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Availability to travel (up to 25%) Work to task completion including occasional off-hours and/or weekend hours Moderate to advanced knowledge of programming languages (e.g., C++, Fortran, PCL, DMAP, Python, etc.) desirable Comprehensive knowledge of MSC’s sales process and the role of technical sales support.
