Job Summary:
The Software Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of a variety of software solutions utilizing Oracle PL/SQL, BizTalk and .NET development. The incumbent will collaborate and contribute on all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process building/delivering enterprise solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop code to support required customer requests for extracts and reporting
- Work with application Architects, QA Analysts, and Business Analysts to ensure requirements are met
- Write and apply unit/regression test automation scripts to all application code and ensure successful coverage
- Consult with Business Analysts to gather information about program objectives, functions, features, and requirements
- Partner directly with Business Analysts to interpret use cases and design technical specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Position Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience using Microsoft .NET C# to develop software applications.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience using Oracle to develop packages and stored procedures using PL/SQL
- Minimum of 5 years software engineering experience in the traditional Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Consultative background that spans across several different industries
- Knowledge of middleware tools such as Microsoft BizTalk or Oracle Fusion
- Experience with Toad and PL/SQL Developer tool
- Experience in tuning SQL to improve performance
- Experience using Team Foundation Server for source control
- Experience using SQL Server to develop stored procedures using T-SQL
- BA/BS Degree in Computer Science or MIS
