Position Objectives:
Work with internal business partners to develop business applications by performing full lifecycle software development, implementing enhancements and bug fixes, and providing technical assistance to the user community. Software solutions must meet business objectives in a manner that balances risk with performance and cost; and is consistent with established organizational strategies, architectures, standards, and policies. 

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work within all phases of the software development lifecycle including solution conception, requirements solicitation, design, development, delivery and support. 
  • Take initiative to keep skills up-to-date and maintain awareness of industry technologies and trends. 
  • Ability to work independently and effectively manage day-to-day tasks to meet project delivery schedule. 
  • Align work with industry best practices and help institutionalize best practices across team. 
  • Ability to communicate solution approaches in a non-technical way to project stakeholders. 

Qualifications 
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong understanding and experience with Object Oriented design and development. 
  • Experience with release planning, configuration management, and requirements tracking using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools. 
  • Ability to design normalized OLTP databases, create ER diagrams, create Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and develop data centric applications. 
  • Some experience developing and consuming web services. 
  • Knowledge and some experience using the following technologies: VB.NET, SQL, ASP.NET, JavaScript, jQuery, jQueryUI, AJAX, JSON, HTML, XHTML, CSS, XML, VBA, VBScript, C#, UML. 
  • Comfortable with Agile and Lean development approaches. 
  • Familiarity with Microsoft development tools and technology stack a plus. 
  • Familiarity with report generation technologies a plus. 
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma and Statistical Process Control (SPC) a plus. 
  • Bachelors Degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or related discipline.
