Position summary
You will work on building a best in class SaaS based video solutions for monetizing and delivering video. IP based Video solutions require best of the IP networking, distributed systems and high performance storage I/O architectures to be able to handle networking, security and storage scalability requirements. In addition, you would create innovative solutions for video analytics. Must have solid background in software development with understanding of web applications and distributed systems.
Responsibilities
- Innovate and build SaaS based Video Solutions on Amazon Web Services Infrastructure.
- Develop server-side code for web applications; build scalable solutions for managing video meta-data and storage
- Write systems software for building large scale distributed systems
- Develop analytics and social applications infrastructure for video applications
- Fast Prototyping of ideas and concepts
- Must be a self-starter and comfortable to work in a fast paced innovative environment.
- Passion for creating cool video apps, and experiences
- Requirements
- Experience in building large scale, high-performance, systems software development
- Proficient in java/J2EE and/or C/C++.
- Knowledge of OSGI bundles, Apache Felix, Apache Jackrabbit, Apache Sling or Day Software is a plus
- MS or PhD in Computer Science is preferred
- 7-10 Yrs of software development experience
- Strong OO design, knowledge of design patterns
- Apache module development
- Experience with Amazon AWS based web applications is preferred
