Job Description
Engineer provides operational and technical support with a primary focus on engineering applications and telecommunications needs  to internal TRC clients both onsite and though remote access tools.

Desired Skills & Experience:
  • Provide end user support via remote assistance and telephone. Manages software deployments for engineering applications and related software repository.
  • Maintains software application database tracking all software for engineering applications and telecom.
  • Assist in the troubleshooting, repair and installation of VOIP telephone systems either direct or through the use of a vendor
  • Assists in the implementation of IT services as guided by senior IT staff.
  • Maintains inventory of all telecommunications equipment/detail.
  • Assists in maintaining servers, workstations, network configurations, and other electronic communication devices in a mid-sized enterprise network.
  • Troubleshoots network and performance issues.
  • Supports and enforces company information policies and procedures.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment, peripherals, and data communications and network systems.
  • Assists in creating or updating end user support documents.

Required Skills
  • Minimum of 2 years of IT experience in a directed environment.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Windows Operating and Server Systems, including terminal services clients.
  • Must be able to support Outlook 2003, 2007 and 2010 in Exchange server environment.
  • Experience supporting Telecommunications equipment, placing new and disconnect orders with vendors. 
  • Experience supporting engineering applications such as Autodesk, ESRI or Bentley
  • Strong understanding of PC and Server hardware system components.
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree and related work experience are preferred.
  • CompTia  A+ Certification
  • Microsoft Certification
